Terms of use

Dead Pace · last updated 27 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Dead Pace app and its server. Please read them together with the privacy notice. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who we are

Dead Pace is provided by Jonas Dietrich – JoDi Labs, Lilienthalstraße 70, 14612 Falkensee. Contact: support@deadpace.run.

2. What Dead Pace is

Dead Pace is a running app with an audio story. While you run, episodes play in your ear and react to your distance and pace; between runs you build up a camp. The first episodes are free. A subscription (Dead Pace Plus) unlocks the rest of the season, and some camp items can be bought separately. They only change how the camp looks.

3. Run safely: you stay in charge

4. Your account

You can use Dead Pace without signing in; your progress then stays tied to this phone. If you sign in with Google or email, your progress syncs between your devices. Keep your sign-in safe. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Your data → Delete my account) or on the account deletion page.

5. Subscription, trial and purchases

6. Ads

The free version can offer optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one for a reward). In the EU you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

7. Fair use

Please don't attack, overload or reverse-engineer the server, get around payments or checks, or copy and share the episodes. We may suspend an account that does this, after a warning where reasonable.

8. Content

The episodes, characters, artwork and sounds belong to us or our licensors. Your purchase or subscription lets you listen to them in the app for your own private use.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Dead Pace running, but the server can be down for maintenance or because of faults. We may improve and change the app and these terms; if a change affects you significantly, we tell you in the app before it applies. If you are subscribed and we stop offering Dead Pace, we refund the time you have paid for and not yet used.

10. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law makes us liable regardless of fault. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaching a duty that is essential to the contract, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise we are not liable.

11. Law and disputes

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection of that country still applies to you. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If something goes wrong, please write to us first: support@deadpace.run.
